Commissions
Commission Process for Custom Artwork
Below are the steps for the commission process for custom artwork:
-
Choose Your Inspiration
Select a photograph or image that you’d like to have illustrated or painted. Ensure the image is of high quality to allow for detailed work. -
Select the Size
Decide on the size of the artwork you’d like. I offer various standard dimensions, and custom sizes are also available upon request. -
Discuss Your Vision
Share any specific requirements or preferences, such as colour schemes, background scenery, or additional details you’d like incorporated. -
Make a Deposit to Secure Your Order
Once we agree on the creative direction, size, and details, a 40% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your commission. This covers materials and initial work. -
Regular Updates
During the creation process, I will share progress photos with you. This ensures we’re aligned and allows for minor adjustments if needed. -
Timeline
Depending on size and complexity, custom pieces take 1–6 weeks to complete. I’ll keep you updated on the timeline throughout the process. -
Approval & Final Payment
Upon completion, I’ll send a photo of the finished piece for your approval. After approval, the remaining balance will be due. Once full payment is received, I’ll prepare your artwork for shipping.
- Drying Time
For oil paintings, an additional 4 – 6 weeks may be required for proper drying.
- Shipping Information:
- Packing: Large artworks are carefully rolled and shipped in a sturdy tube. Smaller pieces are shipped flat, secured between layers of cardboard for protection.
- Delivery: Your artwork will be shipped with tracking and will require a signature upon delivery.

Cancellation Policy
- The 40% deposit is non-refundable as it covers the cost of materials and time spent on the artwork.
- If you need to cancel after the work has begun, please contact me as soon as possible to discuss options. In some cases, a partial refund may be issued depending on the amount of work completed.
